A ReOC (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator's Certificate) is the backbone of commercial operations within the drone industry, this is the license for ZBR Drones to deliver professional, safe and legal operations in Australia. A ReOC requires extra steps from the RePL license and requires an organisation to have a certified Chief Remote Pilot (in our case, Zak).

RePL (Remote Pilot License) is the qualification required by any drone pilot that wants to perform commerical operations with drones over 2kg. The default license is a RePL 7kg, ZBR Drones have the upgrades 25kg version, allowing for a larger range of drones to be flown.

An AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate) is the cerification required to communicate with air traffic over an airband radio. An AROC is legally required if you want to operate a drone over 249g in controlled airspace.

Controlled airspace is a 10km radius around airports like the Launceston and Hobart airport. Without this certification, you cannot legally fly a drone over 249g within this area.

NVLOS (Night Visional Line Of Sight) is the certification required under a ReOC to perform drone operation at night (any time between sunset and sun rise). Flying at night is something that is illegal for most people in the world of drones, when you hold a NVLOS, you have completed the required training and follow the guidelines as outlines by CASA Instrument 01/17 - Night Operations with a UAV.
